Exam Cost

The cost of the CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Exam does not include travel and lodging expenses. Costs may vary based on exchange rates and local taxes (such as VAT or GST). Additionally, candidates are responsible for any fees their financial institution charges, including fees from the SPOTO Club to complete the payment transaction. Prices are subject to change and will be confirmed only after full payment has been made.

CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Environment

The lab room will have Cisco documentation available, but it is assumed that candidates have prior knowledge of the more common protocols and technologies. You can navigate the documentation using the index. No outside reference materials are permitted in the lab room. If you encounter any equipment issues during the exam, you are required to report them to the proctor immediately, as adjustments cannot be made once the exam is completed.

CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Exam Grading

The CCIE Routing and Switching Lab exams are graded by proctors who ensure that all criteria have been met. Automatic tools will gather data from the routers for preliminary evaluations. Candidates must reach a minimum threshold in all three sections and achieve an overall passing score.

CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Format

The Troubleshooting module lasts for about 2 hours. If needed, candidates can extend the Troubleshooting module’s time by borrowing up to 30 minutes from the Configuration module. However, the total Configuration module time will be reduced by any extra time spent in the Troubleshooting module. If candidates complete the Troubleshooting module early, the unused time will be added to the Configuration module time, ensuring a total lab exam time of 8 hours. The Diagnostic module has a fixed duration of 30 minutes.
